Clean water is one of humanity’s oldest needs—and one of its most urgent modern challenges. VVater exists to meet that moment. Based in Austin, Texas, VVater is a next-generation water technology company built around a powerful mission: “Clean Water for All Humankind.” Since emerging from the rebranding of GAST Clearwater in late 2023, the company has rapidly accelerated into the spotlight, delivering a fresh vision for sustainable, high-performance water infrastructure.

VVater’s foundation is rooted in a simple belief: much of today’s water-treatment infrastructure is outdated, expensive to maintain, and overly dependent on consumables. Rather than improving the old model, VVater set out to reinvent it—challenging conventional systems that rely on chemicals, membranes, filters, and biological additives. The result is a new kind of purification approach that prioritizes performance, scalability, and environmental responsibility from the ground up.

At the center of VVater’s innovation is its flagship technology, the Farady Reactor, powered by the proprietary Advanced Low-Tension Electroporation Process (ALTEP). Using carefully engineered electrical fields, VVater’s system destroys pathogens such as bacteria and viruses while also breaking down complex contaminants—including PFAS (“forever chemicals”), pharmaceuticals, and microplastics—without generating harmful byproducts. By eliminating many traditional consumables and mechanical dependencies, VVater reduces maintenance burden, lowers operational complexity, and minimizes environmental impact. The company also reports that its system can operate with 43% less energy than conventional reverse osmosis, measured in kWh per million gallons.

VVater pairs breakthrough science with a modern business model: Water-as-a-Service (WaaS). This subscription-style framework makes adoption far more accessible, requiring only 10% upfront CapEx, with the remainder bundled into monthly operating costs. Under a 10-year Master Service Agreement, VVater designs, builds, owns, operates, and maintains each installation—supporting customers with long-term performance and compliance.

Its solutions span onsite water reuse, direct potable reuse (DPR), disinfection, mobile deployments, and even integrated aquatic environments such as urban lagoons and surf parks. In 2025, VVater earned exceptional recognition, winning the TIME Best Invention Award, CES Best of Innovation Award, and the World Future Awards—a rare “Triple Crown” that underscored its global relevance. Named among the TOP 100 Next Generation Companies for 2025, VVater is scaling through partnerships, landmark projects, and a growing ecosystem—bringing resilient, circular water systems closer to reality worldwide.
